Is Homeschooling Good or Bad?

Is homeschooling good or bad? That is a question that many parents ask themselves. The answer however is not a simple one and each parent must do the research necessary to find out what is the best choice for their children.
One of the best ways to do the research is to ask friends and relatives who have gone through both processes. This will not provide you with a definite answer in your particular case but it is a good place to start.
Some of the negative comments that you may hear about home schooling is that it isolates the student from society. Is this a true an accurate statement?
For me the answer is no. The many children that I know are doing a lot better when it comes to social interaction. This is because they are not subjected to the daily peer pressures of their classmates in the school setting.
They tend to associate with people of different ages and thus gain a better understanding of the issues that affect all people, not just those of their own age.
Another negative comment that you will often hear about is homeschooling good or bad is that it does not offer the high level of education that a school environment does.
Once again, is this a true an accurate statement? This is where your research of the truth of the truth comes into play. You will find that the homeschooled student is on an average further ahead scholastically than is the student that attends a regular school.
The reason for this is obvious. A teacher in a regular school has 30-40 kids in his or her class. The ability to give each student personal attention is almost non-existent.
The teachers who assist a homeschooling student can do it easily one on one. Therefore, is homeschooling good or bad? The answer is quite obviously good.
